Well I made it to 2015! 45 Revolutions around Sun so far!

Well with the 2014 holidays coming to an end, and the cold month of January upon us, I felt it would be a good time to write a blog on taking some time to reflect.

This year I will turn 45 which doesn't mean much to me in terms of anything that I can think of. I don't act much older than 15 anyway, so they always say "if you act young you feel young", right?

Well I can tell you 2014 was an amazing year both personally and professionally. Let's see, I got really involved in my Infotech group and was elected Vice Chairman of the organization which is celebrating it's 15th year this year! I made sure that to be involved in many ways and here is a list of things we accomplished this year. I hope you made it one or more of these events:

We had so many things to be thankful for in 2014 and we grew our membership. And the 2014 BETA awards in April were an excellent example that InfoTech has been RELOADED!!!

Well, I wasn't busy enough with a full time job and having to help run a Non-Profit Board, I decided to help our Entrepreneurs in Buffalo, by helping to create a new program called Startup Grind! but in Buffalo - Called Startup Grind Buffalo!

It all started with this thread on LinkedIn by 43 North's Operations Manager Jon Spitz, and our group came together and formed on April 2, 2014.

Since then we have put on 7 successful events (6 of them were held at DIG Buffalo and 1 at Startup Scramble - a first of its kind event held in conjuction with 43North Week).

We had Jordan Levy, Stephen Kiernan II, Dan Penberty, Ty Shattuck, Mitchell Patterson, Dan Gigante, and Leslie Zemsky. What a year!! Look who is coming in 2015!!

I was also involved in the #ATTWNY Civic App Challenge which included a Symposium both of which I covered in a previous blogs

This was a great year and I cannot wait to see what 2015 is going to be like!
